1. I was payed $30 for a portrait commission. GO ME! ((will probably still be posted))
2. The two performances of Aladdin that have been executed have gone MOSTLY well. The first time I had a costume change, I had a boot break, which means I didn't get my guard's sash all the way tied. And Aladdin seems to forget that he is bigger and stronger than me and thus shouldn't ACTUALLY struggle against me because he will ACTUALLY win. Other than that, it's good. Lots of laughs, and that's the goal.
3. One of my friends entered two photographs of me into a 4-H photography competition. They both got blue ribbons, and one got Champion! AND selected to go to the state fair!
And by panic, I mean:
1. First off, I don't have a cell phone on me. Secondly, I have a flat tire. Thirdly, I have never had to DEAL with a flat tire before. And even though I'm at a gas station, I have NO idea what to do. So, I find a payphone, intending to call Mom and Dad to find out. Neither of them will answer their phones. And this weird guy is looking at me funny. Funny as in I want him to go away. Finally, I call Greg, and he comes and saves my butt. This all sounds very unimportant to you, but it was ten minutes before I was supposed to be at the theater before the first performance, and it takes me forty-five minutes to get there. I was freaking out. I was almost in tears.
2. Mom and Dad go to movie. They're a half an hour away. Haleigh and Annalisa are upstairs in bed, Emily now lives two hours away. So I'm downstairs on the couch, talking on the phone... and I see a car drive past our living room. Our house is about 50 yards away from the road. Away from the road that no one ever drives on on a normal basis anyway. And they were LEAVING. I want to know "Why is that car leaving my house? Why didn't I see them ARRIVE at my house?" So I set down the phone and go to look. I can't see what kind of car it is, it's color, anything. I go back. I am freaking out. Greg gets me to calm down and tells me to go lock the doors, so I do, and I get a knife also. Because, hey... of course. Then I'm sitting on the couch talking and holding a knife and I see something outside the window. "It's nothing," I tell myself. Our house is full of windows and cabinets and things, there are always reflections. Then I see something else move in the window next to it. And then not much later something moves in the window on the other side of that one. Now, sometimes I hear things, but I have NEVER just imagined seeing things before. So now I'm REALLY freaking out. I make Haleigh and Annalisa sleep in the same room, I feel better if they're together. I now have two knives. I get so freaked out and nervous that Greg feels the need to come and check around the house. I am so freaked out and nervous that I barely argue. He and his friend Robert and Robert's cousin Johnathon all come and look around the house. Greg comes in briefly to check the basement and the ground floor real quick (while holding a hammer), and then they all three leave slowing, putting the truck's lights on the barn area, the pasture, the field, the yard, and through the pasture all the way down the road and around the cemetery. What sweethearts!
Zealot's actually not so bad. She's very nice. She's also very pretty, which makes me kind of loathe her, but I know that's shallow. I just get very unhappy when someone is THAT much prettier than me. I know I'm not pretty, and being around people who ARE makes me feel that much worse. But she really is a doll.
